蒔絵ワークショップ
“海、青海波紋をあこや貝に蒔く”
あこや貝の内側の美しさはあこや真珠の美しさそのものです。その虹色の輝きに蒔絵をまくワークショップを行います。今回は海をテーマに波、“破れ青海波文“を蒔きます。
この大海原が無限に広がる穏やかな波模様には 人々の平安な暮らしがいつまでも続くようにという未来永劫の願いが込められています。
美しい海の治癒力は素晴らしいです。昔の人々は私たち以上に自然、海の持つ力というものを知っていました。この“破れ青海波文“を美しいあこや貝に蒔いてみたいと思います。*最後の仕上げは漆の仕事なので講師が仕上げます。皆さんが蒔いた蒔絵は持ち帰り、金沢で仕上げてお送りします。
*蒔絵とは： 漆工芸の代表的な加飾技法の一つです。漆で絵や文様を描き、漆が固まらないうちに蒔絵粉（金・銀などの金属粉）を蒔いて表面に付着させ装飾を行います。粉を蒔いて絵にするところから「 蒔絵（まきえ） 」と呼ばれています。
Workshop: The Way of Makie (Gold Lacquer)
“Painting the Sea called Seikaihamon pattern on the Acoya Shell”
The beauty of the inner part of the Akoya shell is the beauty of the Acoya pearl itself.
We are having a sea painting workshop to experience and apply the Way of Makie on the iridescence of Akoya oysters. The theme is the sea, so we are painting waves known as the “Seikai pattern”. The gentle wave pattern on this endless expanse of ocean has a meaning of the eternal wish that people’s lives, peace and tranquillity will continue forever. The healing power of the beautiful ocean is so wonderful. People in the past knew more about the power of the ocean and nature. Let’s paint this “Seikai pattern “ on the beautiful Acoya shell!
*Note: The last process of Makie will be done by the teacher. So, she has to bring them back to Kanazawa for polishing. Finally, she is going to send the finished product to your registered address within 10 days.
*About Makie: This is one of the representative decorative techniques of lacquer craft.
First, a picture or pattern is drawn using lacquer. Then, sprinkle the makie powder (gold, silver or other metal powder) onto the drawn surface until it’s fully covered before the lacquer hardens. Finally, polish the covered surface until it form the final picture. The name “Makie” means the act of sprinkling the powder onto the surface to form a picture.

山岸紗綾
石川県出身金沢市在住
金沢美術工芸大学卒業後、金沢卯辰山工芸工房修了(2013)。
木を削り漆を塗り重ね、蒔絵や螺鈿といった漆芸の技法を使い、主にジュエリーや立体作品を制作する。主な個展に日本橋高島屋工芸サロン/東京

Guest Lecturer： Saya Yamagishi
based in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture. After graduating from Kanazawa College of Art, she studied in Kanazawa Utatsuyama Kogei Kobo. Her expertise includes the traditional techniques of Lacquer craft, Makie and Raden on carving trees. Most of her masterpieces are jewelry and object art.
