where the akoya pearl lies
あこや真珠は水温が低い冬はほとんど眠っている状態です。春になり、17度くらいの水温になると目覚めます。あこや真珠は日本が北限で、暖かい海に住みます。海の中のカゴを引き上げると、小さな魚がいました。こんなに小さい歯で噛み付くそうです。
Akoya oysters almost hibernate in the sea during winter. In Spring the temperature normally goes up around 17 degrees Celsius, Akoya oyster will wake up. When we visited the cultivated pearl bed, we saw a small fish, as we picked up the net. He can bite something with such small teethes.
色んなものが沢山くっついています。海の汚れが目立つこの頃、昨年はとても酷かったようです。食べる牡蠣もあこや貝には最近、天敵です。牡蠣はあこや貝にくっつき、あこや貝は息できずに死んでしまいます。何事もバランスで、人間が私欲のために、生態系を崩さないことが必要です。
Also, lots of colorful creatures are attached to Akoya oysters.
As the sea is not clean, a lot of particles are attached to akoya oysters as well. The last year was horrible. The cultivated oysters that we normally eat attach themselves to akoya oysters, And, once they do, Akoya oysters can not breathe, thus killing them…
これは虫があこや貝に入ってしまった状態です。こうなるとあこや貝はもう生きれません。全ては繋がっていて、虫が起こることの一つに海の状態があります。今の海は決していい状態と言えません。その状態を引き起こしているのは、私たち人間です。
This is an akoya oyster that is invaded by insects. Once it’s like that, akoya oysters no longer live anymore. The other one, the dust of the sea was attached to the akoya oyster, you can compare to the next one, this is normal.When the dust is attached to the akoya oyster, they can’t breathe and will die. So the farmers have to wash the millions of amount of akoya shells once a week.
Everything is connected, reasons are not only one, but It’s strongly affected by the condition of the sea. But these are not caused if the sea is good condition. Now I can’t say it’s good situation. Who gives damages to the sea? It’s humans.

これは、あこや母貝に核と細胞（ピース）を入れる作業、（手術というのがいいでしょう）に使う道具です。ん？歯医者さんの道具？？とおもったらこの道具は、やはり元歯医者さんが発明したそうです。核入れは人間の手術となんらかわりがないです。
あこや母貝も痛そうです…
