“Nederlandse Thee Ceremonie in Hirado 2016”
400 years ago European people arrived at Hirado, and may have been welcomed by Lord Matsura with a celebration. Thee Ceremonie in Hirado is an experiment to discover what will be born when different arts are brought together, just as a new culture was born when the Europeans introduced Western culture to the Eastern people.
A decoration by a Dutch artist for the tea ceremony that is based on the rules of Japanese tea ceremony.A mixture of differences create a mysterious harmony and may also evoke a feeling of strangeness. This strangeness may serve as a catalyst for connections beyond time and space.
This tea ceremony is going to have in Tokyo, and next year to Europe.
What will we discover at the end of this journey?
