Sanctuary: Mt. Shijiki and
The typhoon landed in the early morning. Then, we went to the sacred mountain, Mt. Shijiki.
The sea of deep fog appeared at dawn, in the middle of the night and morning.
The trees are wet and black, and insects and birds are lively now and singing loudly. In the darkness of the stormy morning, a door opens to a world thousands of years old.
The highest part of the Shijiki shrine is on the summit of the mountain.
It was believed that Togiwage, His Highness, built a stone shrine to pray for the protection of the Western Sea. This mountain has been a landmark for all foreign ships for thousands of years. It’s the common destination of all ships.
